Released in 2017, The Kiss is a homegrown band effort coordinated and designed by Ivan Nahem (ex-Situation, Crop, Carnival Crash, Swans, Ritual Tension). Gregg Bielski of ROR 714 Records, and a well-known Pittsburgh experimental sound artist, suggested to Ivan that he put spoken word atop some soundscape soundtracks, and of course Ivan went to town on it. Eventually three ex- Ritual Tension bandmates were enlisted for collaboration -- Andrew Nahem, Marc Sloan (Ritual Tension, Gawk, Elliot Sharp, False Prophets) and Michael Shockley (Ritual Tension, Sexpod, Sweet Lizard Illtet, Big Hat No Cattle).
